If the license officer, upon investigation or upon checking returns, finds that the fees paid are more than the amount required of the person, the license officer shall refund the amount overpaid by a warrant on the current fund. If the license officer finds that the fee or tax paid is less than required, the license officer shall send a statement to the person showing the balance due. The responsible party shall within three days pay the amount shown thereon. (Ord. 1806 § 1, 2000).
