A violation of this chapter shall be prosecuted in the same manner as misdemeanors are prosecuted and upon conviction the violator shall be punishable according to law; however, in addition to or in lieu of any criminal prosecution Bothell shall have the power to sue in civil court to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
