2.28.070 Radio dispatcher/police officers – Advancement.

Unless the chief of police denies advancement for cause, as limited by BMC 2.28.080, radio dispatcher/police officers shall advance to the next higher grade in accordance with the following schedule:
A. Probationary radio dispatcher/police officer to radio dispatcher/police officer grade 2, after completion of one year of satisfactory performance as probationary radio dispatcher/police officer.
B. Radio dispatcher/police officer grade 2 to radio dispatcher/police officer grade 1, after completion of 18 months of satisfactory performance as radio dispatcher/police officer grade 2. (Ord. 836 § 1, 1977).
