Water mains to be installed by developers shall be oversized at the request of the city if the water comprehensive plan calls for a larger main than is needed for service to the property being developed. The city shall enter into a reimbursement agreement to pay for the oversizing. The developer shall provide the city an itemized accounting of construction costs for the water main extension constructed, together with an estimated cost of pipe and other materials of the size which would serve the development. The developer shall also provide certification that all material and labor charges have been paid. (Ord. 1634 § 1, 1996).
