The city shall not be liable for loss or any damage of any nature whatsoever caused by any defect in the user’s service line, plumbing, or equipment and the city reserves the right to discontinue service when a defective condition of plumbing or equipment on the user’s premises is discovered or, in the judgment of the public works director, is likely to result in interference with proper service to other users of the system, or likely to cause contamination of the system. The city assumes no responsibility for inspecting a user’s line, plumbing or equipment, nor excessive consumption of water as a result thereof. (Ord. 1634 § 1, 1996).
