A. Grading permit applications shall follow the completeness rules of BMC 11.06.003;

B. Applications for which no grading permit is issued within 18 months following the date of notice of complete application shall expire. All plans, reports, and other data submitted with the application shall be returned to the applicant or destroyed by the city in accordance with state law.

C. The director may authorize an 18-month extension to the application time limitation upon receipt of a written request by the applicant submitted to the city at least 30 days prior to the expiration date. The applicant must cite the specific circumstances which were beyond the control of the applicant that prevented the permit from being issued. If, in the director’s opinion, the circumstances do not warrant approval of an extension, the application shall expire.

D. No grading permit application may be extended more than once. (Ord. 2269 § 1, 2018).
