A. The installation of any FOG pretreatment device must follow the UPC and Bothell standards where applicable. The grease interceptors must meet, at a minimum, the specifications of the current Uniform Plumbing Code adopted by the city at the time of construction. The public works director is authorized to adopt and publish additional criteria for grease interceptors in the Bothell standards.

B. All measurements, tests and analyses of the characteristics of waters and waste to which reference is made in this chapter shall be determined in accordance with the standards prescribed in “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Sewage,” published jointly by the American Health Association and the American Water Works Association.

C. Users must maintain their facilities per the approved FOG control program and follow manufacturer’s recommendations for any required grease waste pretreatment device. (Ord. 2261 § 5, 2018).
