The 80-acre Kenmore Gun Club property in the eastern portion of the subarea is unique in that it has been owned and operated since 1945 by its members. The legal organization of the club’s ownership ensures that it will likely continue to operate many years into the future. It is appropriate to recognize this through the establishment of an overlay designation. The overlay provides recognition that the gun club is an established legal use within a developing residential area while also providing a zoning classification should the property redevelop in the future.
