The purpose of this chapter is to provide adequate parking for all uses permitted in the code, to reduce demand for parking by encouraging alternative means of transportation including public transit, ride-sharing and bicycles, to increase pedestrian mobility, and to ensure that the visual impacts of parking and loading areas and structures are minimized.
